Biofutures is an annual Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering forum for students in years 11 and 12. For one week in the July holidays, students are offered a series of excursions, workshops and special events where they gain a broad perspective on modern-day Bioscience and discover the many courses and careers available in the industry. Biofutures receives a great deal of support from the QUT, University of Queensland, the Queensland Government (DIIE), and the Australian Biotechnology Students' Association (ABSA), but it is organised by university students for school students.
