Program Leaders: Professor Vo Anh & Professor Erhan Kozan

Statistics and Operations Research Program (SOR) provides a focused collaborative environment and resources for high-quality internationally-recognised research in statistics and operations research. It embraces development and discovery of advanced and innovative methodology to solve problems of significance to science and technology, and to provide market advantage and management strategy for industry, business and governments. Its projects, which cover both basic science and industry-oriented research, are well funded by the governments and industry, nationally and internationally.

The program provides an environment conducive to collaborative research, postdoctoral and postgraduate training in statistics and operations research. It forges close links with government, business and industry through commercially focused projects. The program is currently undertaking projects involving financial systems; environmental and agricultural systems; health care; cryptosytems; communications systems; transportation; building and construction, and manufacturing.
