QUT Industry Partners in Chemistry include: Roche has participated in the Industrial Internship Program over several years providing job experience opportunities to QUT students. Roche finds the program beneficial to both the students and the company.
Queensland Health Scientific Services (QHSS) is a preferred destination for graduates. Being one of the largest public health sciences laboratories in Australia, it provides scientific excellence in the work it does for the Queensland public. QUT graduates such as Claire Runge are given opportunities at QHSS to pursue avenues of self-development to become better scientists and develop their capacity to inquisitively 'problem-solve' in the discipline of their choice, whether in the field of forensic science or in all aspects of public health science. Our experience has been that graduates of QUT demonstrate all of these things. Claire will be given the opportunity to advance in her preferred profession while working at QHSS.
Pacific Data Systems finds working with QUT research scientists, in the area of Health and Medical Physics, very rewarding and looks forward to employing more QUT graduates in the future.
Caltex Australia frequently employs QUT graduates including a yearly intake of students in the QUT Industrial Internship Program. We find that QUT graduates bring to the organisation a good blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This allows them to be industry ready from day one.
As science and technology expands in the 21st century; QML relies on educational institutions keeping pace with new developments. QUT is assisting by providing both specialised and general science/technology courses that give QML access to graduates who are well prepared for entry into the pathology industry. QML will continue to seek QUT graduates for scientific positions within its workforce.
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology employs over 400 medical scientists in 23 laboratories located across Queensland and Northern NSW. We find that QUT graduates are employment ready and quickly integrate into our workplace.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital Health Service District, one of the largest hospitals in Australia, is a major teaching and referral centre and is committed to the delivery of world-class health care, teaching and research services. The Radiology Department is equipped with leading-edge medical imaging technologies and provides clinical placements for students throughout their course. Each year we employ four Graduate Radiographers and we find that QUT students are well prepared to meet the clinical demands of the healthcare industry.
The Office of Economic and Statistical Research (OESR) employs graduates from mathematics through the Queensland Treasury graduate recruitment process each year. Graduates are employed in a range of areas including statistical surveys, social modelling, financial modelling and the analysis and dissemination of a range of social, economic and demographic data.
HLA Envirosciences Pty Limited is a leading environmental consultancy for both industry and government and has had a long association with QUT. We employ graduates from QUT for their free thinking and dedication to their science, which is a tribute to the quality of the teaching at QUT.
Santos has had contact with a number of students from QUT over time and has always found them to be competent and well rounded with a focussed and enthusiastic approach to work.
