Synopses of Units Dedicated to the Program

SCB301 Science for Dean's Scholars
(Credit points 24; contact hours approximately 18 per week (for five weeks)

SCB303 Tutorial Program for Dean's Scholars
(Credit points 12)

SCB401 Research Methods for Dean's Scholars
(Credit points 12) In some strands this unit may be substituted by another discipline unit.

SCB501 Research Project for Dean's Scholars
(Credit points 24) (offered as a two-component unit i.e. SCB501-1 and SCB501-2). Students are required to present a seminar on completion of their project and also submit a formal report two weeks prior to the seminar. The seminars are normally held at the following times for the various strands:

Life Sciences -- August (year 2)
Mathematical Sciences -- October (year 2)
Physical & Chemical Sciences -- January (following year 2)
